The chub mackerel (Carapau in Portuguese) is often confused with mackerel. Smaller in size, it is also a very lean fish with less than 5g of fat for every 10g of flesh.

Here, the chub mackerels are presented in organic olive oil, hand-packed, and wrapped in delightfully retro paper.

The reputation of these Tricana preserves lies in their refusal of mass production and their commitment to traditional manufacturing methods. Their origin is clear: the northern Atlantic coast of Portugal. This ensures a healthy, meaty, and sufficiently fatty fish preserved in olive oil.
