This 18 cm plate can be used as a main plate or as an appetizer plate and can also be used as a serving dish, as an appetizer cup, as a pocket dish or simply as a beautiful decorative object.
This piece comes from a small workshop located between Caldas da Rainha and Obidos in the Central West of Portugal, in the province of Estremadura. Its design is characteristic of the so-called Caldas da Rainha ceramics, whose most famous author is Bordallo Pinheiro.

This piece comes from a small workshop located between Caldas da Rainha and Obidos in the Central West of Portugal, in the province of Estremadura. 

The molds used there have been passed down from generation to generation and the owner of the workshop is now using his grandfather's molds. All the pieces are made entirely by hand.
