This bowl can be used at the table as a small serving dish, an appetizer bowl, a catch-all, or simply as a beautiful decorative object. It is composed of a cabbage leaf delicately adorned with a holly leaf (Avezinho in Portuguese).
It benefits from excellent quality and great attention to its finishes. The reliefs and details are precise, the surface is perfect and very luminous, and the colors are vibrant.

This piece comes from a small workshop located in west-central Portugal, in the Estremadura province. Its design is characteristic of what is known as Caldas da Rainha ceramics, of which the most famous author is Bordallo Pinheiro.
The molds used in this workshop have been passed down from generation to generation, and the current owner now uses his grandfather's molds. All pieces are carefully made entirely by hand, and production is very limited.
