Following the recommendations of the IPCC report, the Paris Agreement commits all stakeholders to immediately reduce CO2 emissions, with a goal of net zero emissions by 2050.
Luisa Paixão's online store is therefore committed to reducing its environmental footprint from now on.
This commitment takes the form of a series of rapid actions to be implemented, with concrete and immediate results. It will be followed by a carbon audit of the company and a global action plan aimed at achieving carbon neutrality as quickly as possible.

Here you will discover, as they are implemented, all our actions aimed at reducing our environmental footprint and compensating for the climate impact of our activity.
Carbon Neutral Delivery
The transport of your package, from our warehouse to its destination, is carbon neutral: We fully offset the carbon emissions associated with the transport of your order.
Here's how it works: For each package we ship, we estimate the associated carbon emissions. Based on this, we donate a portion of our revenue to companies specialized in carbon removal. These companies use this money to eliminate the amount of carbon generated by our shipments. Their activity is audited by Carbon Direct.
These are the companies we fund:
Heirloom
Heirloom's direct air capture technology enhances the carbon mineralization process. Heirloom technology speeds up the rate at which natural minerals capture CO₂ rather than using energy-intensive fans to pull air.
Remora
Remora captures CO₂ from semi-truck exhaust pipes as they drive, with the CO₂ destined for long-term storage.
Eco-friendly packaging materials
The essential protection of the items you order requires the use of packaging materials such as bubble wrap, void fill paper, dividers, cardboard boxes, etc.
For maximum protection, we only use new double or triple-walled cardboard boxes. However, we only select materials made from over 50% recycled content
Our cardboard boxes, made in Europe, consist of a minimum of 70% recycled cardboard and are themselves recyclable to promote the circular economy.

Similarly, our bubble wrap, recognizable by its green color, is made of a minimum of 50% recycled materials and is itself recyclable.
Waste recycling
All our packaging waste is sorted, collected separately, and integrated into the municipality's recycling streams.

Joint efforts focus on increasing the collection of recyclable waste, as opposed to undifferentiated waste. Currently, the following are separated:
- Plastic waste
- Paper and cardboard waste
- Organic waste
Research and promotion of eco-friendly products
We systematically ask our partners and suppliers about their actions and commitments to reducing carbon emissions, as well as their actions concerning the circular economy.
We systematically prioritize products and services that demonstrate their results in this area.
Our main stoneware tableware supplier is committed to a sustainable development policy through stoneware, combining energy efficiency, eco-materials, and raw materials from recycling.

Our main supplier of Portuguese rugs only uses natural fibers from production scraps of the Portuguese textile industry.
