What I like

  • Cândida's extraordinary mastery of the quilling technique, offering us extremely detailed and carefully crafted objects.
  • The artistic and modern reinterpretation of Portuguese cultural icons.

Please note, this artwork is a unique piece handmade by Cândida Conde Miranda. The artwork you receive will be as close as possible to the example shown here, but some small details may differ.

About Cândida Conde Miranda.

Cândida is a renowned Portuguese artist, a graduate of Fine Arts in Lisbon (Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa) who exhibits and sells her works in museums or contemporary art events such as the Biennial of Plastic Arts of Marinha Grande or the Biennial of Engraving of Amadora.

About the quilling technique.

The quilling technique, also known as paper filigree, is a fairly old technique dating back to the Renaissance in France. This technique was then commonly used in the making of reliquary altarpieces.

About Tram 28

Lisbon's Tram 28 connects Martim Moniz to Campo Ourique. This is quite commonplace, but it is the busiest tram because it crosses the tourist districts of Baixa, Alfama, and then Graca, making it the most authentic way to visit Lisbon.
