Magnificent wall hanging depicting a typical Portuguese plant: the Manjerico, made using paper quilling by Cândida Conde Miranda: A small piece concentrating artisanal techniques, Portuguese culture, and modernity.
What I like
- The extraordinary mastery of the quilling technique employed by Cândida, who creates extremely detailed and refined objects.
- The artistic and modern reinterpretation of Portuguese cultural icons.

Please note, this wall hanging is a unique piece handmade by Cândida Conde Miranda. The piece you receive will be as close as possible to the one shown here, but some small details may differ.
About Cândida Conde Miranda.
Cândida is a renowned Portuguese artist, a graduate of Fine Arts in Lisbon (Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa), who exhibits and sells her works in museums or contemporary art events such as the Marinha Grande Plastic Arts Biennial or the Amadora Engraving Biennial.
About the quilling technique.
The quilling technique, also known as paper filigree or quilling art, is a fairly old technique that dates back to the Renaissance in France. This technique was then commonly used in the making of reliquary panels.
