Atlantic sardines, fished only during the fishing seasons from May to December, immediately canned in Matosinhos, north of Porto, and flavored with organic olive oil and fresh tomatoes as is traditional in Portugal.

What I like

My little tip: A best-before date is always indicated on the cans, but sardines in olive oil can be stored for several years as they improve with age. The cans should be turned regularly.
