Small ceramic swallow handmade by Ana Sobral and equipped with magnets allowing it to be securely fixed to any metal surface.

Characteristics

  • Width: about 11 cm
  • Height: about 9 cm

Traditional Portuguese ceramic swallow, delivered here in a version hand-decorated with traditional patterns from Northern Portugal.

This swallow is made, in several sizes, to a very high quality, by a reputable Portuguese ceramic workshop that takes great care to respect the initial shapes of the Andorinhas.

What I like

  • Impeccable artisanal quality.
  • The ventral hole that allows it to be easily fixed to the wall.

The swallow (Andorinha) is today an icon of national folklore and an object present in all Portuguese homes. It is used both outdoors on a facade and indoors on a wall. The swallow offered here is made and painted entirely by hand, in an artisanal way, in a small workshop located in the countryside of Alcobaça.

Feel free to consult our blog article "How to use ceramic swallows in decoration?" which includes all the techniques and tips for fixing them to the wall.
