The sardines here are prepared as fillets, meaning they are presented without skin or bones and preserved in olive oil flavored with bay leaf.
The quality of this preserve comes from the use of genuine and authentic Atlantic sardines, "Pilchardus" sardines. It also comes from the traditional Portuguese preparation method by which the sardines are selected and prepared by hand, one by one, pre-cooked by steaming, and then canned in their sauce.
