Beautiful ceramic box with a decoration in the spirit of the very first azulejos found in Portugal, of Moorish or Spanish inspiration.
Make no mistake, this Azulejo lid box is not an industrially printed earthenware item that you find in souvenir shops.
This box, enameled on its outer sides, is handcrafted according to traditional Portuguese Azulejo manufacturing methods and entirely hand-painted.
It is made in a small art craft workshop by Amélia and José Alves de Sá Nogueira, a passionate couple, among the best Portuguese ceramists and who work for museums and Palaces in Portugal.
