Molded and hand-painted earthenware swallow to place on a table as a decorative object or to hang on the wall (integrated hook) in the Portuguese style. This andorinha is signed by Ana Sobral, a renowned ceramist in Portugal.
What I like
- A true creation by a Portuguese artisan, far removed from all the andorinhas of dubious origin found in souvenir shops.
- The use of traditional Portuguese Azulejo motifs combining the typically Portuguese blue with the off-white of the earthenware.
- The hook attached to the back of the andorinha which allows it to be displayed on a wall, alone or grouped with others.
