This beautiful pumpkin-shaped tureen (Abóbora in Portuguese), with a large capacity, is accompanied by its plate and its serving spoon, also in ceramic. Its large size, its brightness and its originality totally transform a table by bringing a lot of cheerfulness to it.

This piece comes from a small workshop located between Caldas da Rainha and Obidos in the Central West of Portugal, in the province of Estremadura. Its design is characteristic of the so-called Caldas da Rainha ceramics, whose most famous author is Bordallo Pinheiro.
The molds used in the workshop have been passed down from generation to generation and the owner of the workshop uses the molds of his grandfather. All the pieces are made entirely by hand.
