This piece comes from a small workshop located in the Centre-West region of Portugal, in the historic province of Estremadura. Its design is characteristic of the famous Caldas da Rainha ceramic tradition, whose most renowned representative is Bordallo Pinheiro.

The moulds used in this workshop have been passed down from generation to generation, and the current owner still works with moulds inherited from his grandfather. Every piece is carefully handmade, and production remains intentionally limited.
