The aesthetic of this box is rooted in the tradition of Hispano-Moorish azulejos, a centuries-old decorative art introduced to the Iberian Peninsula in the 15th century. These motifs, known for their geometric interlacing and earthy colours inspired by land and sea — ochre, blue and green — were designed to play beautifully with light.

The cork base is far from a simple detail: it pays tribute to Portugal’s cork oak forests, an essential part of the country’s landscape and sustainable heritage.
