This keyring is entirely handmade from a traditional fabric from the folk costumes of Minho in northern Portugal.
Anabela wanted to add a Coração de Viana, a symbol of honesty and generosity.
This piece is a product of beautiful quality craftsmanship and benefits from a very nice finish. Please note, this keyring is a unique handmade piece. The placement of the patterns may be slightly different from the model shown.

The legend of the Rooster of Barcelos
Barcelos is a small town in northern Portugal. Several crimes were committed there and no culprit was arrested until one day a pilgrim on his way to Santiago de Compostela was found guilty by the court. He claimed his innocence and, to prove it, went to the judge. Seeing a rooster in a basket near him, the accused said: "It is as true that I am innocent as it is that your rooster will stand up and crow the moment I am hanged!"
The rooster crowed and the judge ran to where the man had been hanged. He found that due to the poor tightening of the knot, the man was alive. He was thus considered innocent and released.
