An immense fused glass platter, over 60 cm in diameter. This magnificent platter, with its astonishing transparency effects and deep blue color, finds its place on a piece of furniture or a coffee table where it creates an incredible presence.
It is entirely handmade in a small artists' workshop in Portugal, in Marinha Grande, the cradle of Portuguese glassmaking. This object benefits from impeccable artisanal quality.

The technique: The fused glass technique consists of fusing several layers of glass together in a kiln at 800°C for 24 hours to respect the different melting points of the glass and ensure the longevity of the piece over time. The curved shape of this dish is obtained by a second firing in a refractory mold.
The design: Transforme is a small workshop, specializing in the very delicate technique of fused glass, created by two Portuguese designers, Sílvia and Rui. They revisit popular Portuguese imagery and combine it with blown glass and fused glass techniques. Their workshop is located in Marinha Grande, the cradle of Portuguese glassmaking.
