Set of 2 ceramic sardines, one entirely purple and the other striped purple and white.

These sardines can be placed anywhere in the house and immediately evoke Portugal. They can be displayed together on a piece of furniture thanks to their flat belly, or they can be wall-mounted thanks to their belly hole. They are also widely used at the table as decorative items or as spoon rests.

These pieces come from a traditional ceramics workshop located near Caldas da Rainha, in central Portugal, the ancestral home of Portuguese ceramics. All pieces are entirely made and then hand-painted there with methods and attention to detail that are rarely found today.
