This Cataplana is an authentic Portuguese Cataplana, traditionally hammered and copper-coated, handcrafted in Barcelos in northern Portugal. Thanks to its traditional manufacturing process, this Cataplana is a durable and healthy cooking utensil designed to remain intact after years of use.
Made of two shell-shaped halves connected by a removable hinge and secured with side clasps, the Cataplana allows fast steam cooking while preserving the texture, flavour and natural qualities of the ingredients with very little added fat.

Care instructions
When cooking with your Cataplana, avoid using metal utensils (spoons, forks, etc.) and never clean it in a dishwasher or with dishwasher detergents, steel wool or abrasive products, as these may damage the protective tin surface or the copper itself.
Never place the copper Cataplana on the heat or in the oven without enough liquid or cooking fat inside, as this could cause it to dry out and become damaged.
Copper naturally changes colour when heated. After use, it is best to soak the Cataplana in warm soapy water to loosen any food residue. Then clean it gently with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning products.

Vous commandez une cataplana en cuivre à 179€ et l’on vous envoi une cataplana en acier à 109€.
Lorsque vous réclamez l’on vous dit il y a trois options ( même
pas une excuse ou un geste commercial….)
1) vous gardez celle reçue et l’on rembourse la différence
2) vous retournez la mauvaise expédition et l’on vous en renvoie la bonne.
3) vous retournez celle que vous avez reçu et l’on vous rembourse.
Ce qui fait que comme vous en aviez besoin pour un repas découverte que vous aviez annoncé à vos amis, vous êtes obligé de modifier vos invitations !!!!

1 - Vous avez commandé une cataplana en cuivre le 14 novembre avec une livraison en 12 jours ouvrés soit le 30 novembre au plus tard.
2 - Nous avons fait une erreur de préparation et expédié une cataplana en inox.
3 - Nous avons réparé cette erreur en vous envoyant la cataplana en cuivre en livraison express.
4- Vous avez reçu cette cataplana le 27 novembre soit avant le délai de livraison maximum de votre 1ère commande.
5 - Nous attendons toujours le retour de la cataplana en inox que vous deviez remettre au livreur UPS
Très bel ustensile pour une cuisson homogène. Pour une première recette réalisée pour deux personnes cette cataplana est parfaite

Réception cataplana cuivre 8/10 personnes. Contente de mon achat très bel ustensile réception rapide. Un petit bémol, les attaches pour fermer le couvercle ne se clipsent pas correctement et l'ustensile en cuivre n'est pas hermétique complètement d'où un débordement du jus+++
Très bon article excellente qualité juste la mauvaise surprise de devoir encore payer 34 chf de frais de dédouanement non indiqués dans la commande, en plus des frais de port .
The pan arrived more promptly than I expected and was just perfect. It was a gift for my son and daughter-in-law who had recently s[ent a week in Portugal. They was so excited to receive the pan and have already used it many times. It was a great experience.

When we were in Portugal, we found the seafood to be a bit "tired" and smelly, but the vessel that it came in was inspirational. Sooo, we got the vessel and used our local seafood (San Francisco!). AWESOME doesn't begin to cover it. We use it with dinner parties of 10 or so and have rave reviews. So much so that I had to get another one for my brother!
Really looking forward to using the Portuguese fish cooking vessel. It is exactly what I was expecting.
