This Portuguese traditional cooking utensil is crafted from terracotta clay and is specifically designed for grilling Chouriço, a type of Portuguese sausage.

The grill typically features a series of ridges where the Chouriço (or any kind of sausage) can be placed for grilling over an open flame. The flame is obtained from strong alcohol (mainly Aguardente in Portugal) which is ignited.
