Large Golden Oriole (7.9'') in glazed earthenware enhanced by aged brass legs. This exceptional piece is entirely handcrafted, both the ceramic body and the brass details.
It is a magnificent decorative object with extraordinary presence, achieved through its outstanding craftsmanship and generous size (nearly 7.9'').
Very present in Portugal, the golden oriole is a migratory bird that returns to Europe each year, particularly to the Iberian Peninsula, after wintering in Africa. Rarely seen, it is most often recognized by its beautifully melodic song, marked by a wide and varied vocal range.
Why I love it
- A stunning decorative statement piece.
- A beautiful example of authentic Portuguese craftsmanship.
Features
- Material: Glazed ceramic body, aged brass legs.
- Dimensions: 7.9'' x 3.9'' x 3.1''
About the Designers
Rute Rosa & Sérgio Vieira created an experimental design studio inspired by Portuguese stories and folk culture, reimagining traditional objects through a contemporary lens.
This project was born from the desire to tell stories through objects. Together, they combine Rute Rosa’s passion for ceramics with Sérgio Vieira’s natural talent for developing author-driven projects rooted in experimentation and innovation.
