Coimbra ceramics has existed since the 16th century and includes ceramic workshops that traditionally use cobalt blue in monochrome tones but also yellows, greens and ochres. This art, characteristic of this city in northern Portugal, has been recognized worldwide for several centuries.

Franchement, je ne m’attendais pas à ça. J’avais déjà vu beaucoup d’hirondelles portugaises, mais celle-ci est clairement d’un autre niveau.
Les détails sont incroyables. On voit vraiment le travail de peinture à la main, avec des nuances et une finesse qu’on ne retrouve pas sur les modèles plus classiques. Les couleurs sont profondes, presque vivantes, et changent selon la lumière. Ce que j’aime surtout, c’est qu’elle ne fait pas “objet déco standard”. On dirait presque une petite pièce d’art. Très belle surprise, et pour une fois, on sent qu’on achète quelque chose d’authentique, pas une version industrielle.
