Beautiful ceramic oil carafe from Coimbra with deep blue colors traditionally representing scenes of nature, plants, exotic birds.
This carafe is the result of a long and meticulous work, entirely manual. It is signed and documented by the artist's hand. Each artisan illustrator gives free rein to his creativity and each piece is therefore unique.
Why I love it
- An original and very delicate carafe.
- A unique piece.
- An artisanal work close to art.
Characteristics
- Diameter: 3.1"

They are stunning
Can’t use this. The inside was not glazed and the oil leached through the pottery and turned the outside yellow and left a puddle of oil in the little tray. Pretty to look at but unusable.
Thank you for your feedback.
We are very surprised by your experience, as this is not something we have encountered before with this traditional Coimbra olive oil cruet. The interior of the piece is normally glazed and designed for food use, including olive oil storage.
What you describe could indicate a manufacturing defect affecting your specific item. We would be grateful if you could send us a few photographs showing the inside of the cruet and the oil seepage on the exterior so that we can investigate this directly with the workshop.
If a defect is confirmed, we will of course find an appropriate solution for you.
